The information at this web site is provided by ALS patients for ALS patients
and documents their experiences. It is well-known that ALS patients differ widely
and that what works for one will not necessarily work for another. The information
at this site is not intended to replace the attention or advice of a physician
or other health care professional. This site is also not intended to provide
advice, so anyone who decides to embark on any dietary, drug, exercise, or other
treatment mentioned on this page should first consult and seek clearance from
a qualified health care professional. Remember, drugs interact, and combinations
of various drugs can be harmful.
Privacy is important to ALS patients and we respect the right
of our constituents to remain anonymous. In order to maintain the privacy
of the individual, the person supplying the information is encouraged to use
a nickname or "handle," such as that used in a chat room.
However, if it is the desire of the person to use their partial or full name,
we will honor it. Therefore, we will not reveal anyone's name or e-mail address
to any person or entity except that which may be required by law or a lawful
court order. E-mail addresses will not be retained at the web site, but will
be kept offsite so that we may contact the person for clarification or pass
on requests from people wishing to ask questions. However, we do require,
and will post, an identifier (handle, nickname, pseudonym) for each person
submitting an entry.
